USING GLUE RESPONSIBLY

USING GLUE RESPONSIBLY

1. Importance of Reading Directions

Did you know that Gorilla Glue® is moisture-activated and that the surfaces must be dampened prior to gluing? Or that proper clamping increases bond strength? Even when gluing seems simple, reading the directions will ensure proper use, and a superior bond.

2. Avoid Skin and Eye Contact

With all adhesives, it is smart to wear gloves or protective clothing and eye protection to avoid contact.

Gorilla Glue, in particular, can stain skin and ruin clothing. In some instances, it is a skin sensitizer. If you are predisposed to skin reactions, please take the extra precaution. It is also recommended to use safety glasses or goggles if there is a chance of eye exposure. Additional information can be found on the MSDSs for each product.

Gorilla Super Glue is an instant glue and can bond skin. We recommend wearing protective clothing or gloves to prevent skin exposure.

Gorilla Wood Glue can be cleaned off of skin with soap and water. It’s always safe practice to wear gloves, however, these are easier to remove should skin contact occur.

3. Work Area

Protecting Work Area from Spills: Prior to any gluing, we recommend protecting the work surface. Gorilla Wood Glue is easy to clean up with water, but Gorilla Glue and Gorilla Super Glue  can be difficult to remove from surfaces. Paper towels, newspaper, or plastic sheeting can all be used to keep areas clean and damage free.

Proper Ventilation:
If inhalation of adhesives causes physical discomfort, move to fresh air.

4. Keep out of Reach of Children and Animals

Gorilla products are strong and effective at bonding materials together. However, when misused, they can pose some problems. To eliminate unnecessary clean up, we recommend adult use only, or adult-supervised use. In addition, it is important to keep all adhesives out of reach of children and animals to prevent ingestion.

5. Storage

All adhesives maintain optimal shelf life when stored at room temperature in a cool, dry location. Do not store in a hot vehicle.
